What we do

A new build hands you a bare lot, not a yard

A new-construction home is exciting right up until you are standing in a backyard of compacted dirt, weeds and construction leftovers, with an HOA deadline ticking to get the front in. The builder's grading was for the house, not for a yard that drains and grows.

We do new builds start to finish: fix the rough grade, bring in real topsoil, install sprinklers, lay sod and plant, and build the patios, walls and outdoor living you actually want, front and back. One team, one plan, one number, so you are not chasing five contractors right after a move.

New builds are a big part of what we do across Utah County's growth areas, from a clean front-yard package on the HOA clock to a full custom backyard. We build it right the first time, on the ground you actually have.

What a new-build install covers

Everything from dirt to done

Grading and real topsoil

Fixing the builder's rough grade and bringing in and spreading real screened topsoil, because new-build dirt is compacted subsoil that sod struggles on.

Sprinklers and sod

A full irrigation system set for how your city waters, then sod and seed so the lawn actually takes and roots.

Front-yard packages, on deadline

Clean, HOA-compliant front-yard installs finished inside the builder or HOA window, done right, not rushed.

Backyard hardscape and planting

Patios, walls, fire, pergolas, beds and trees, so the backyard is finished the way you want, not left for later.

How it goes

Simple, and no surprises

1 Plan the whole lot

Front and back, one plan

We look at the lot, the grade and the HOA rules, and plan the whole yard, with an honest number in writing.

2 Fix the ground first

Topsoil and grading

We fix the rough grade and bring in real topsoil, because a lawn on compacted subsoil never takes. This is the step builders skip.

3 Install and finish

Sod, planting, hardscape

We install irrigation, sod, planting and any hardscape, and hit the HOA deadline, so you move in to a finished yard.

Questions

New-construction landscaping questions we hear a lot

Can you finish my front yard before the HOA deadline?
Usually, yes. A lot of Utah County builders and HOAs require the front yard done within a set window after closing. We install clean, compliant front-yard packages on time, without skipping the base prep that keeps them from settling.
The dirt on my new lot is terrible. Can you fix it?
Yes, and it is the most important step. New-build lots are compacted subsoil, not topsoil, so sod laid on them struggles. We fix the grade, bring in and spread real screened topsoil, and set the yard up so the lawn and plants actually root.
Do you do the backyard too, or just the front?
Both. We can do the required front-yard package now and the full backyard when you are ready, or the whole lot at once, front and back, as one plan.
Do you work with the builder's grading?
We work from it and fix it. Builders grade for the house and drainage, not for a finished yard, so we re-grade as needed, add topsoil, and make sure water runs away from the home before we plant.
